Toremoveorreplacethepowersupply,dothefollowing:
1.Removethecomputercover.See"Removingthecover"onpage68.
Note:Forthisprocedure,ithelpstolaythecomputeronitsside.
2.Disconnectthepowersupplycablesfromthesystemboardandfromalldrives.
3.Removethefourscrewsthatsecurethepowersupplyattherearofthechassis.
4.Liftthepowersupplyoutofthechassis.
5.Ifthepowersupplyhasavoltage-selectionswitch,ensurethatitissettomatchthevoltageavailable
attheelectricaloutlet.
•Ifthevoltagesupplyrangeinyourlocalcountryorregionis100-127Vac,settheswitchto115V.
•Ifthevoltagesupplyrangeinyourlocalcountryorregionis200-240Vac,settheswitchto230V.
6.Installthenewpowersupplyintothechassissothatthescrewholesinthepowersupplyalignwith
thoseinthechassis.
7.Installthefourscrewstosecurethepowersupply.
Note:UseonlythescrewsprovidedbyLenovo.
8.Reconnectthepowersupplyconnectorstothesystemboard.See"Locatingpartsonthesystem
board"onpage71.
9.Reconnectapowersupplyconnectortoeachofthedrives.
10.Goto"CompletingtheFRUreplacement"onpage91.
Replacingthesystemboard
CAUTION:
Theheatsinkandmicroprocessormightbeveryhot.Turnoffthecomputerandwait
threetoveminutestoletthecomputercoolbeforeopeningthecomputercover.
